Thank you for taking the time to visit the website of Daniel J. Cosio, Assistant Professor of Trombone at the University of Northern Colorado! Aside from being an educator, Daniel is a multi-instrumentalist, arranger, and new-music advocate currently located in Greeley, Colorado. Daniel pursued his BM in Trombone Performance at the University of North Texas, an MM in Trombone Performance at the University of Minnesota, and his DMA in Trombone Performance and Pedagogy at the University of Colorado Boulder. Lessons and Masterclasses

Daniel has many experiences with teaching both individuals and groups. His previous experiences range from one-on-one private lessons to coachings with high school large ensembles, with many combinations in between. Additionally, Daniel has experience conducting various large and small ensembles.

Since 2011, Daniel has been experimenting with composing and arranging for various ensembles, including wind band, jazz big band, trombone choir, solo trombone with piano, rock/metal group, and more. Notable arrangements include the works of Snarky Puppy, Periphery, Jacob Collier, and more.
